Tension is anything that creates expectation — a dissonant chord, a high held note, a missing beat, a key change. Resolution is the satisfying release when that expectation is fulfilled.

Every great moment in music — a drop, a guitar solo peak, a bass entering after a breakdown — is a tension-resolution event. Without tension, music feels flat. Without resolution, it feels frustrating.

You're already doing this with sidechains, drops, EQ filter sweeps, vocal builds. Now do it intentionally with harmony too.
