// WHAT IT DOES
Session View is a grid: tracks across the top, scenes down the side. Each cell holds a clip — a loop of audio or MIDI you can launch any time.
Press a clip's play triangle → it loops. Press another clip on the same track → the first stops, the second starts. Press a Scene → every clip on that row launches together.
Think of it like → Like a launchpad of LEGO blocks. Snap them together in any order, see what fits.
▸ WHY YOU CARE
- • Jam ideas live without committing to a timeline.
- • Swap an intro for a chorus mid-performance with one click.
// SEE & HEAR IT
BAR 1/4
| SCENE | DRUMS | BASS | CHORDS | LEAD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
▸ HOW IT WORKS
Each clip slot is a launchable container. A scheduler reads Quantization, then triggers the clip on the next musical division.
▸ Signal flow — watch the dot
▸ SIGNAL FLOW
Glowing dot = your signal travelling through Live.
▸ LISTEN FOR
- • Launches snap to the bar — quantize is doing its job.
- • Stop button (square) silences a track without killing the project.
▸ WALKTHROUGH (3 steps)
- 1. DO: Click any clip's triangle.▸ LISTEN: It launches on the next bar (default 1-bar quantize).
- 2. DO: Click a different clip on the same track.▸ LISTEN: First stops, second starts at the next bar.
- 3. DO: Click the Scene row triangle.▸ LISTEN: All clips in that row launch together.
▸ COMMON MISTAKES
- ✗ Setting Global Quantize to None and wondering why clips jump in mid-beat.
- ✗ Forgetting only one clip per track plays at a time.
