Limiter

A brick wall. Nothing gets past the ceiling.

WHAT IT DOES

A limiter guarantees the sound never goes above a chosen volume. It's the last thing in a mix, used to make tracks loud without distorting.

HOW IT WORKS

INPUT GAIN pushes the sound up. The limiter slams the loudest peaks down so the OUTPUT never crosses the CEILING. Push more = louder, but pumpier.
