// WHAT IT DOES
A scale uses only 5 of the 7 notes from major or minor. By dropping the two 'risky' notes that cause the strongest , every remaining note sounds great over the key's chords.
Major pentatonic: 1 2 3 5 6. Minor pentatonic: 1 b3 4 5 b7. That's it. Blues, rock, hip-hop, country, J-pop, anime soundtracks — all rely heavily on these five notes.
Because there are no 'wrong' notes inside the scale, pentatonic is perfect for soloing, improvising, and writing melodies that always work.
Think of it like → Pentatonic is the safe-mode of melody. You literally cannot pick a clashing note.

▸ COMMON MISTAKES
- ✗ Using major pentatonic over minor-key songs (avoid major 3 against minor 3).
- ✗ Sticking only to pentatonic forever — eventually add the missing scale notes for colour.
- ✗ Forgetting that pentatonic still has a — phrases want to resolve to 1.
- ✗ Treating the blue note as a destination instead of a passing tone.
