Flanger
Jet-engine sweeping comb filter.
WHAT IT DOES
Flanger is like chorus's louder, more dramatic cousin. It mixes the dry signal with a very-short modulated delay, creating a swooshing comb-filter sweep.
HOW IT WORKS
A delay of ~5 ms is modulated by an LFO. The delayed copy combines with the dry signal — the cancellations and reinforcements move with the LFO.
